I’m one who listens to music constantly while I’m at my PC which is often 12+ hours per day. I work from my PC at home and I also game from my PC at home, so the chance to listen to music for hours on end is extremely high.
I decided the other day that I wanted to look into scrobbling my music again to something like LastFM, and come to find out, the YouTube Music app that I use actually has this feature built right into it.
So I decided to fire it up, get it working and start scrobbling so that others can see what I listen to each and every day. As you’ll quickly see, I listen to a lot of different types of music, from country, 80’s music, alternative and more. There’s not much that I don’t listen to.
With all of that said, I’ve decided since LastFM gives me stats for each week, that I’m going to try my best to post those stats here to my blog every week and show off a bit of what I’m listening to with a few screenshots. If you want a much bigger list of what I’m listening to, you can always check out my LastFM profile here: Cliff Wade on LastFM. I’d appreciate it if you’d give me a follow, assuming any of my music interests you.
So let’s get to what I listened to from June 14th to June 20th. Please remember, this is my first full week of scrobbling after many years of not doing so, so the charts you may see on my LastFM profile are likely small or incomplete.
Total Tracks Scrobbled
As you see by the image above, starting last Saturday, I scrobbled 947 songs throughout the entire week. To me, that’s quite a few tracks if you ask me, and that’s with me having several meetings during the week which I don’t play music during that time. I also usually don’t listen to music while I’m gaming, so that’s another 30+ hours of time without scrobbling. So I feel 947 tracks is pretty impressive.
Thanks to LastFM, we can break that down a bit more and find out what exactly I’ve listened to throughout the week.
In the above screenshot, you’ll see I listened to 198 different artists across the course of the week. My top artists this week are as follows:
- Taylor Swift
- Rascal Flatts
- Linkin Park
- Madonna
- Lady A(formerly Lady Antebellum)
You can see the full list of every artist I listened to this past week here: Full List Of Artists Played. Again, as you can see, there is a lot of diversity to what I listened to when it comes to my music.
As I stated and showed above, I scrobbled 947 tracks during the week. However, LastFM shows the complete track list of everything I listened to and it shows that I only listened to and scrobbled 831 tracks. Not sure the difference between the two, but here is the complete list of tracks for your viewing pleasure: Full List Of Tracks Played.
Regardless of the difference in numbers, that’s a recap of my listening and scrobbling for the week of June 14th – June 20th. Hopefully it’s something y’all enjoy, and what I’d really like is for anyone that has suggestions for new artists in genre’s that I listen to or are similar to, to leave a comment below and let me know. I’m always looking to discover new artists and new music whenever I can and what better way than to get input from you!

@umps You can use YouTube Music as a PWA from the website itself or you can use a newer one that's available here:
https://github.com/th-ch/youtube-music
Both of these methods allow you to scrobble directly to LastFM very easily.

@umps No problem. If you have any other questions, let me know. I'd be happy to help.
