Week number four already for this weekly post? Seems like I just started it last week, but here we are, completing our first month of scrobbling music again to LastFM.
Let’s dive in and see what our top artists and top tracks were for this past week. I’m sure there will be some surprises, but also I’m sure some things will remained unchanged.
Total Tracks Scrobbled
Last week we scrobbled 1,416 tracks in total and again this week, we have beat the previous weeks scrobbling. This time we beat it by 100 to bring the total tracks scrobbled this past week to 1,516. Of course this certainly means more artists and more tracks for each of you to possibly discover something new from what I’ve been listening to.
Top Artists Scrobbled
Let’s break down the top artists that I listened to this past week and see what, if anything, has changed. Doubtful that my top artist will change as she’s dominating the top slot each week it seems.
There you have it. Four weeks straight, which is no surprise to me personally, Taylor Swift is my top listened to artist of the week.
What is nice to see in the image above is a new artist I just recently discovered, breakk.away. I found them thanks to jcrabapple on Mastodon and am really enjoying their music so far. Definitely give them a listen and see what you think. Also entering the top five for the first time since starting this post is George Strait.
You can see the full list of every artist I listened to this past week here: Full List Of Artists Played. Again, as you can see, there is a lot of diversity to what I listened to when it comes to my music.
Top Tracks Scrobbled
Next up is the list of individual music tracks that I listened to during this past week from July 5th – July 11th.
Judas Priest has entered the charts with the top track of the week. I break down the complete top ten tracks of this past week via the list below.
- The Serpent and the King by Judas Priest
- Breaking the Habit by Linkin Park
- Don’t Stay by Linkin Park
- Through You(extended mix) by Pet Shop Boys
- Wanted Man by Ratt
- Give It Away by Red Hot Chili Peppers
- Lowest In Me by Staind
- Florida!!!(feat Florence + the Machine) by Taylor Swift
- Fire and Water(feat Paul Stanley) by Ace Frehley
- Never Say Goodbye by Bon Jovi
What’s funny about this list is that Taylor Swift is only on it once, yet she’s my top artist again this week. As you see, there’s lots of alternative and rock music on this list yet my top artists are mostly country.
Also something to note here is, the top 8 songs I actually listened to four times each. Then songs nine and ten I listened to three times each.
You can see the complete list of all 1,516 tracks that I played for the week of July 5th – July 11th here: Full List Of Tracks Played.
Genre Tag Cloud
Below is the genre tag cloud that I first added last week as I think it’s a pretty neat little way to quickly show what genres of music I’m listening to most. You can create your own tag cloud here: Tag Cloud Generator.
